Alongside the technology work, one long project: protecting a piece of Costa Rica's rainforest, and the people and animals who live in it.
Grow Jungles
I founded Grow Jungles in 2019 on a plain idea: the surest way to protect a rainforest is to own it, and to make the people who live beside it its paid guardians.
Native-tree reforestation with Osa Conservation on the Osa Peninsula, camera-trap monitoring along wildlife corridors, and a planned reserve dedicated to returning the harpy eagle to Costa Rica's forests.
5,000+ acres conserved · 44 camera traps · 11 local jobs
